While many alumni and sports fans are "Pio Proud," you’ll see plenty of #NoMorePios stickers on laptops. 2. “Is the "4D Experience" a real lifestyle or just a marketing buzzword?”
The Insider Reality:
If you listen to the administration, "4D" (Intellectual, Careers, Character, Well-being) is the air we breathe. To students, it’s mostly the reason we get sent to the Kennedy Mountain Campus. While the framework can feel corporate, the resources it provides - like mental health weekends and career coaching - are actually high-quality if you're the type of student who actually uses them.

Yes, and it’s very real. DU is located in an affluent neighborhood, and the student body leans wealthy. This can create a "bubble" where it feels like everyone is wearing the same Patagonia vest. Breaking the bubble requires effort, like taking the E-Line light rail downtown or exploring the more diverse food scenes on Federal Blvd, rather than just staying on University Blvd.

The campus police are faster than Olympic sprinters when it comes to handing out tickets. Most students learn very quickly that a free RTD pass is their best friend. If you must bring a car, prepare to pay a small fortune for a permit or spend 20 minutes circling the neighborhood looking for a "legal-ish" spot.
